Kotabaru prospective Hajj pilgrims depart for Banjarbaru Hajj dormitory

Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Kotabaru prospective Hajj pilgrims who joined the 13th flight group along with Tanah Bumbu Hajj candidates departed for the Hajj dormitory in Banjarbaru.

Assistant I of Kotabaru, who also Deputy Chair I of the Regional Hajj Service Organizing Committee, H. Minggu Basuki, hoped that the pilgrims would perform their Hajj smoothly, and always maintain good health and will attain mabrur (accepted) Hajj.

“The Kotabaru government expressed it gratitude to the Regional Hajj Service Organizing Committe on duty this year, as well as to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. We pray that this year's pilgrims to depart safely, and return home as mabrur Hajj,” he said.

Head of the Banjarmasin Embarkation Hajj Organizing Committee (PPIH) Dr. H. Eddy Khairani said that pilgrims in the 13th flight group from Kotabaru and Tanah Bumbu consisted of 356 pilgrims with 4 group officers assisted by 2 Regional Hajj Officers (PHD).

"The total number of pilgrims and officers departing is 360, after two transfers out and two transfers in," he said.

Two transfers out from Tanah Bumbu, one due to death and one accompanying person out.

Two transfers in were from Hulu Sungai Selatan District in 12th flight group.

The oldest pilgrim from Kotabaru is Norma Mangacil, 87, from Kelumpang Utara Sub-district.

The youngest, 18, are Muhammad Fathan Nurqolbiy and M. Ghozy Rahmatullah from Pulau Laut Sigam Sub-district.

The 13th flight group will depart for Mecca on Garuda Indonesia flight GIA 8113 at 22.15 Wita or 10.15 p.m. Central Indonesia Time Zone.

Meanwhile, four Kotabaru prospective Hajj pilgrims who joined the 17th flight group is scheduled to depart on May 18 on Garuda Indonesia flight GIA 8117 at 02.15 a.m. and four others in 19th flight group will depart on May 21 on flight GIA 8119, at 00.15 a.m. Wita.

The send-off was conducted by H. Sudian Noor, a member of House of Representative's (DPR RI's) Commission VIII from South Kalimantan, at Aula Jeddah Embarkation Hall in Banjarbaru.
