Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - At least 20 fishermen boats (Penges) deployed to pull the pilot ship Sabuk Nusantara 55 owned by PT Pelayaran National Indonesia stranded since Sunday (31/1) in the waters of Pamalikan, Pulau Sembilan, Kotabaru.


"The ship aground in the waters of Pamalikan, Sub-district of Pulau Sembilan, due to high winds and waves as high as 2 meters," said Secretary of the Pulau sembilan Sub-district Andi Zainuddin in Kotabaru Tuesday.

He explained the plan was penges vessels owned by businessmen in two villages, Tengah Village and the Teluk Sungai, deployed at around 23:00 to drag Sabuk Nusantara 55 which perform the maiden voyage.

"Because this afternoon the hull began to shake and hopefully the ship can be detached from stranded," he explained.

Principal of SMAN Pulau Sembilan Palawagau added, more than 50 people in the island have been waiting aboard the Sabuk Nusantara 55 to go sailing to Kotabaru.

"But unfortunately, the pioneer vessel was aground and can not be withdrawn," he said.

Separately, Chairman of Commission II DPRD Kotabaru Syairi Mukhlis said he and the legislator in the commission consulted the Director General of Sea of Transportation Ministry in Jakarta urged the construction of support facilities for marine transport in Kotabaru.

"Thank God since the beginning of the year Sabuk Nusantara 55 operated to serve the Kotabaru people to route for round-trip Majene-Kotabaru-Batulicin-Marabatuan-Maradapan and Matasirih," said Syairi.

But there are still things that become obstacles for the community, namely the loading and unloading activities in the area Maradapan and Matasiri should be done in the middle of the sea, because of the pier does not exist.
