Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - PT Pelni's pioneer ship KM Sabuk Nusantara 55 that ran aground in the waters of Pamalikan, Pulau Sembilan, successfully withdrawn by a number of fishing boats.
"The pioneer ship that ran aground since Sunday (31/12) in the Pamalikan, Sub-district of Pulau Sembilan, waters was withdrawn by fishing boats on Wednesday (3/2) at around 19:30," said the Kotabaru Harbor Master and Authority Sadeli M here on Thursday.
Once drawn, the ship proceed directly to Batulicin, Tanah Bumbu, to be examined by PT Pelni Batulicin and the Ministry of Transportation.
"Thank God, in the initial examination, the bottom of the ship suffered no torn by aground," he explained.
KM Sabuk Nusantara 55 aground on a young reef of Maradapan and Pamalikan waters when serving passengers.
If there is no damage, KM Sabuk Nusantara 55 will be back in operation to sail between islands of Kotabaru, Tanah Bumbu, South Kalimantan and West Sulawesi.
Earlier, the Pulau Sembilan High School (SMAN) Principal Palawagau said more than 50 residents of Pulau Sembilan already waiting for the ship to go sailing to Kotabaru.
