Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Discharge of water in the reservoirs and water treatment plants belonging to the government owned taps water company PDAM Kotabaru continues to decrease.
Director of PDAM Kotabaru H Noor Ipansyah here on Monday said the water discharge in dams and reservoirs continue to decrease due to reduced rainfall in recent days.
"The average drop in the water discharge ranges from 20 centimeters per day," said Ipansyah.
Reduced raw water discharge is also caused by the activities of people who take raw water upstream of the dam. It was, according to Director of PDAM, may interrupted the distribution of water to the taps customers.
He mentioned the raw water flow in a number of dams or water treatment plant on Monday at 07.45 in normal conditions as high as 600 cm. But this time the height is 175 cm.
Meanwhile, water treatment plants (IPA) Mount Rely under normal conditions 45 cm, the current remaining 2 cm; IPA Mount Ulin under normal conditions 150 cm, the remaining 35 cm; IPA Mount Tirawan normally 145 cm remaining 5 cm; and IPA Mount Pemandangan in normal conditions 18 cm, now the remaining 0 cm.
Furthermore, the water in IPA Gunung Perak under normal conditions 97 cm, but now at 0 cm; and IPA Gunung Sari in normal conditions 180 cm, the remaining 65 cm.
Ipansyah suggests that reservoir water is pumped to the IPA Mount Rely with a pump capacity of 50 liters/second and to IPA Mount Ulin capacity of 10 leter/second for 24 hours every day.
IPA Mount Rely water pumped into IPA Mountain Pemandangan with a pump capacity of 10 liters/second every day at 16.00 until 00.00.
