To promote and push a higher tourist arrivals in South Hulu Sungai (HSS), Deputy Regent Syamsuri Arsyad has invited Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno to come to Loksado.
Syamsuri invited Uno when the Governor of South Kalimantan together with regents and mayors from the province made a special visit to the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy in Jakarta, Wednesday (May 18, 2022).
He then expounded the records of tourist visit of HSS District. "In 2019 HSS recorded 231 thousand tourist arrivals then (the number climbed up) to 270 thousand during the pandemic," he said.
Syamsuri suggested tourist destinations for each region in South Kalimantan's would better be sold in packages.
Especially for Minister Uno, he expected him to come to attend event to be held in the near future in Loksado, namely Loksado Festival.
The presence of Minister Uno, which is hoped to strengthen the regional tourism, is expected to be on June 2, 2022, after his visit to Kotabaru.
Loksado Festival is said to be the only one in the world with an attraction of bamboo rafting, which is the mainstay of tourist attraction in HSS District.
"With the presence of Minister (Uno) we expect him to bolster an access to make it easier for tourists to visit Loksado," he said.
He especially expects the Begandah Lines, Rantau, will be able to pass through the HSS District, because it could be an alternative access to the new national capital (IKN) of Nusantara later.
Meanwhile, Sandiaga Uno said that he will assign his deputy to pay special attention to South Kalimantan. He was very interisted in Loksado, and hopes to come directly to Loksado.
