The value of both export and import of south Kalimantan in March 2022 climbed up. The export up by 52.07 percent and the import by 15.49 percent.
Head of South Kalimantan Central Statistics Agency (BPS) Yos Rusdiansyah on Tuesday said the increase in export was due to a increase in the export value of mineral fuel commodities.
"The export value of South Kalimantan in March reached US$1.26 billion or increased by 52.07 percent compared to export in February 2022 worth US$827.60 million. When compared to March 2021, it increased by 140.78 percent," he said.
The largest group of export in March 2022 was mineral fuel with a value of US$1.07 billion or up 55.21 percent compared to February 2022.
The second was the group of vegetable/animal fats and oil which contributed US$115.53 million, also increased by 52.70 percent.
Then the third was wood and wood products group (HS 44) worth US24.82 milion or rose 2.71 percent compared to export in February 2022 worth US$24,17 million.

The main destination of export with the highest value was China US$434.26 million, then India US$224.38 million, or increased by 78.37 percent.
The third was Philippines US$98.14 million up 10.80 percent compared to the value of export in February 2022. The fourth and fifth were export to Japan and Malaysia.
Meanwhile, the import value of South Kalimantan in March 2022 was 100.64 million US dollar or increased by 15.49 percent compared to February 2022 which worth 87.13 million US dollar or rose by 237.51 percent compared to March 2021.
Five biggest suppier of imported goods in March 2022 were Malaysia 96.03 million US dollar, Singapura 1.42 million US dollar, Tiongkok 1.28 million US dollar, and United States 0.11 million US dollar.
