The District Government of Tapin will disburse the 2022 Regional Incentive Fund (DID) to support 12 youth farmer groups in 12 sub-districts (kecamatan).

Regent HM Arifin Arpan said this program is intended by the government to encourage the excitement of youth who are engaged in the agricultural sector.

“So far, many millennial generation have succeeded in improving the economy in villages through agriculture, but they still lack of support,” he said as reported on Saturday.

For instance, in fish farming, the Fisheries Agency has prepared a budget to be distributed to 12 groups in 12 sub-districts.

“Each youth group will receive assistance worth Rp25 million,” said Head of Fisheries Cultivation of the agencyBambang Purwanto.

The assistance received by the youth group, he said, will be in the form of fish seeds along with feed and ponds.

“It could be a tarpaulin system, biofloc or ordinary pond, depends on the need of the area. Including the fish, it also depends,” he said.

“Our target is to be realized as soon as possible. If the DID budget is issued, we will immediately excute it,” he said.
