South Hulu Sungai (HSS) Deputy Regent Syamsuri Arsyad said that in 2022 the HSS government will provide a grant of 500 narcotic urine test kits to the district's National Drug Agency (BNNK).

The grant, he said, is part of the synergy carried out jointly with HSS BNNK through the related leading sector, namely the National and Political Unity Office (Kesbangpol) as the drug abuse handling is only the responsibility of BNNK.

"Alhamdulillah in 2022 the local government will provide a grant of urine test kits for HSS BNNK to be used to test the State Civil Apparatus (ASN). This is also a form of our efforts to combat against narcotics abuse and the like," he said while giving direction in the consolidation of BNNK hazard response cities (KOTAN) some time ago.

This synergy, he expounded, is certainly not only with Kesbangpol but also with other related agencies.

To give an instance, in the field of tourism, because tourism also fosters hotels and attractions, that it is possible for drug abuse to occur here.

"Education and culture also have mass and moral responsibility, because abuse can be at the elementary school to high school, in particular, if they are our citizens," he said.

Head of HSS BNNK Agus Winarti said that the local government support by providing drug urine test kits is in accordance with the President Instruction (Inpres) with a total 500 pieces for 500 ASN and had received approval from the HSS DPRD.

Agus Winarti also reported that the agency is currently rehabilitating 31 narcotics addicts, both inpatient and outpatient.

"Not only from HSS residents but also from several other areas such as Barabai and Rantau, because these two areas do not yet have BNNK," she said.
