The physical construction process of a new hospital worth Rp125 billion in Tapin District, South Kalimantan, has reached 52 percent of completion. It is targeted to complete in December 2021.
"Alhamdulillah there are no obstacles, the physical construction has reached 52 percent of completion," said Head of Tapin PUPR Agency Yustan Azidin, Thursday.
The fund for the physical construction of the district general hospital on an area of 4.8 hectares in the North Tapin Sub-district is a loan from PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (SMI) Persero.
In detail, the allocation for physical construction is Rp125 billion, and the procurement of medical equipment is Rp23.66 billion, bringing the total of Rp148.66 billion.
"An addition of supporting building that using the local budget (APBD), such as PLN substation, mortuary, and laundry, along with the construction process, the value is Rp30 billion," he explained.
The new district hospital will have 202 rooms, more than the old hospital with 115 rooms.

For another support, the Tapin government has prepared 10 hectares of land for expansion, the discourse of the Rantau Baru area, and residence for medical personnel.
With a new building and complete infrastructure, the new hospital is still in class C, in the future it will be upgraded to class B.
In February 2021, Tapin Regent HM Arifin Arpan promised to place qualified specialist doctors that the hospital not to offer only luxurious buildings and facilities, but quality human resources as well.
"I hope that the increase in the quality of health service to be beneficial for the community," he hoped.
