The Tabalong District continues to intensify vaccination following the increasing number of residents exposed to the coronavirus.

Spokesperson for the Tabalong COVID-19 vaccination Gusti Judid Ihsan Permana said that 40,206 people have been recorded to be vaccinated out of a total target of 45,046 people.

"The realization of the first phase vaccination is 23,615 people and the second is 16,591 people," said Judid.

For the target of educators from the total target of 7,095 people, the realization reached 80.17 percent or 5,688 people in the first phase and 67.24 percent or 4,771 people in the second stage of vaccination.

Meanwhile, the first stage of vaccination for the general public has only been realized 7.6 percent or 9,260 people from the total target of 121,804 people.

In the second phase of vaccination, the realization was still small 4.8 percent or 5,910 people. So was the COVID-19 vaccination for teenagers, it was less than one percent of the total target of 24,149 people.

Whereas the total confirmed positive cases in Tabalong currently reaches 1,434 people with a recovery rate of 1,065 people, patients being treated 336, and 33 people died.
