Head of Banjarmasin Social Agency Iwan Ristianto said over 23 thousand family heads in the city receive social aid during the implementation of level 4 public activity restriction  (PPKM).

He acknowledged here on Monday that the implementation of level 4 PPKM from July 26 to August 2, 2021, would certainly impact the economy of underprivileged residents of the city, hence the central government provides assistance.

The social aid will be distributed to those registered in the Family Hope Program (PKH) about 13 heads of families, then about 10 thousand families registered as the recipients of social cash aid (BST).

"So the central government through the Social Affairs Ministry today until August 5 distributes social aid for PKH and BST recipients in this city, plus 10 kilograms of rice from Bulog," he said.

The social aid is to ease the burden of the affected underprivileged families in facing the restriction in the handling of COVID-19 which tends to spike.
