Balangan brought in a national weightlifting coach as one of its strategies to win gold medals in the 2022 South Kalimantan Provincial Sports Week (Porprov).
Chairman of Balangan Indonesian Weightlifting Association (PABSI) Salapudin Noor here on Sunday said that Balangan is ready to present a gold medal at the regional and provincial level championship.
"We have brought in a national coach from Balikpapan, Parlin Gurning, to stimulate the spirit of practicing and competing of Balangan weightlifters," he said.

Previously, the Balangan PABSI has won gold at the provincial level competition in Tabalong. Now Balangan, who always encourages its athletes to compete, has brought in a national coach.
He hopes that all 10 athletes will always be motivated by the presence of a new coach, and will offer the best for Bumi Sanggam (nickname of Balangan).
"We also really hope for support from the local government for Balangan PABSI activities to get the best results, because weightlifting has a very large chance of winning medals," he said.
