The City Government of Banjarbaru obtained an unqualified opinion (WTP) for the six times on its 2020 financial report from the Indonesian Supreme Audit Agency (BPK-RI) branch of South Kalimantan.

Banjarbaru Mayor HM Aditya Mufti Ariffin, in the company of the City Secretary Said Abdullah, received the best audit grade of the city's 2020 financial report (LKPD) from the Chairman of BPK-RI branch of South Kalimantan M Ali Asyhar in Banjarbaru, Friday.

"We are grateful for the sixth WTP we received in a row. All this thanks to the seriousness of all ranks of the city government in preparing and reporting financial management in accordance with the provisions," he said.

According to the Mayor, the WTP will be a motivation for every SKPD (government working unit) within the Banjarbaru municipal government to manage and report financial management properly and meet the set standards.

The Chairman of the BPK branch of South Kalimantan M Ali Asyhar said the assessment of the financial report until it was granted an unqualified opinion was carried out professionally based on applicable operational standards in financial audits.

"The consideration for giving  WTP is the suitability to the government accounting standards (SAP), adequacy of disclosure, the effectiveness of internal control system, and compliance with laws and regulations," he said.

"In accordance with Article 20 Law Number 15 of 2004, the district, city, and provincial government must follow up on the audit recommendation from BPK no later than 60 days after it is received," he said.
