The South Kalimantan Library and Archive Office (Dispersip) is ready to hold a virtual talk show featuring Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs Muhadjir Effendy with a theme of improving human resources.

Head of the agency Nurliani in a press statement received by Antaranews in Banjarbaru on Saturday said that the 27th virtual dialogue with the Indonesia Maju cabinet minister is scheduled for Wednesday (April 28, 2021).

"The theme of the virtual talk show with the minister is "Literacy Improves Human Resources Competence". We believe that the minister will present in the virtual dialogue," said Bunda Nunung (her nickname).

She explained that the virtual talk show is a form of seriousness in building literacy in South Kalimantan, even in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic to boost human resources competence, especially the younger generation and school children.

"The younger generation and school children during the pandemic are doing their activities mostly at home. This condition should have increased their reading interest," she pointed out.

She emphasized that the culture of reading is one of the ways of transferring knowledge that can produce productive thinking for the advancement of society so that it has an impact in increasing human resources capacity. 

In addition to presenting Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs, the virtual talk show also invites Deputy Speaker of South Kalimantan DPRD Muhammad Syaripuddin as a speaker.

The event will be centered at the Palnam Library in Banjarmasin which only accommodate half the capacity of participants. Other participants can take part through Zoom or Dispersip Palnam's Youtube.
