Pantai Harapan, the farthest and isolated village in Tanah Laut District, which is directly adjacent to the Java Sea and Banjar District, has been the target of post-flood social activities carried out by Tanah Laut Environmental Community with a coordinator from Cyber Adventure Indonesia.

It was difficult to reach the location that has to go through narrow lanes can only be traversed on foot and continued by water transportation in the form of a small motorboat called klotok. It took three hours from Pelaihari, Tanah Laut capital, followed by a klotok for about one hour.

The main access to the sub-district town and the nearest neighboring village is a bridge that was cut off six years ago and replaces with a suspension bridge with a limited capacity. This made it difficult for the distribution of basic food for Pantai Harapan.

The fishermen village consists of six neighborhood units (RT) with a densely populated population and most of them pre-prosperous households. While 60 to 100 cm high rob floods the villages and the houses every night.

Adi Rahmani, Head of Tanah Laut Environment Capacity Building and Arrangement Division (DPRKPLH), who accompanied the volunteers, expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the initiative of the community to carry out social activities.

Head of Bumi Makmur Sub-district, Sahidanoor, through Adi Rahmani, also expressed his gratitude for the contributions of the volunteers who work hard to penetrate the location in Pantai Harapan Village to deliver logistical assistance.

"Hopefully the activities we carry out can reduce the burden a little on the residents of Pantai Harapan Village after high tide (rob)," said Eka Prasetya Aneba, Disaster Management Coordinator of Cyber Adventure Indonesia, as noted in a release from Yamadipati.
