Amuntai, South Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalimantan) - A total of nine villages in South Amuntai, North Hulu Sungai, is still isolated, they do not have electricity and water supply systems.

Head of Regional Development Planning Agency, H Fajeri Rifani, in Amuntai on Tuesday said from 30 villages in the subdistrict of  South Amuntai, as many as nine villages unreached by clean water services, and some of whom are not powered.

"While others villages have proposed village construction of roads, bridges and footbridge, but they proposed electricity and clean water service," said Fajeri Rifani through a press release.

North Hulu Sungai (HSU) Government recognizes the remoteness of some villages in South Amuntai, because not yet reached an adequate road infrastructure construction due to lack of budget.

Fajeri revealed, there are some isolated villages due to geographical factors, such as the Kayakah Village and Murung Panggang Village. The condition of the road to the two villages were not drivable for four-wheeled vehicles.

There are still about 30 percent of the road are not paved, it exacerbated the high rate of damaged facilities in the district because it is built on  unstable swamp land.

HSU regency noted the contribution of the agricultural sector in the economic structure in the subdistrict of South Amuntai over the past three years has decreased by 2.34 percent.
