Flight activities at the Bersujud Airport in Tanah Bumbu District, South Kalimantan, have returned to normal since early January 2021.

Head of the District Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) of Bersujud Airport Surya in Batulicin on Thursday said that previously flights service on Batulicin-Makasar and Batulicin-Banjarmasin routes had been closed since May 2020 due to coronavirus pandemic.

"(With the reopening of services) airlines and airport are implementing strict health protocol," he said.

In accordance with the South Kalimantan COVID-19 Task Force circular Number 360/1527/BPBD/2020 concerning vigilance against the transmission of COVID-19, he said, air travelers must show negative results from rapid antigen test before the flight.

While at the airport, prospective passengers are also checked for body temperature, spraying disinfectant, and ensuring that they wear masks.

According to Surya, this is the duty of service officers at the airport to enforce new normal regulations during the pandemic. Meaning that activities are carried out as usual, but must not ignore health protocols.

Banjarmasin-Batulicin flights are served at 7.30 WITA (Central Indonesia Time), Batulicin-Makasar 8.00, Makasar-Batulicin 9.30, and Batulicin-Banjarmasin 11.00. The average number of passengers in one flight reaches 30 to 40 from the aircraft capacity of 72 people.

"The ticket price for Batulicin-Banjarmasin is around IDR300 thousand, Batulicin-Makasar IDR800,000 to IDR1 million, but the price can vary depending on conditions," said Surya.
