Three garbage banks assisted by Adaro Bangun Negeri Foundation (YABN) won the award for the best waste bank in the Tabalong Regency in 2020.
The award was handed over at the event of Adipura performance and waste management improvement held by the Environment Agency on Tuesday (Dec 8, 2020) as a token of appreciation for garbage activists who carried out good waste management.
The three garbage banks, namely Anggrek of Kuranji Village as the second winner, Maluyung Bersinar of Maluyung Housing Complex the third winner, and Sumber Berkah Gunung sari for the second hope.
Anggrek dan Maluyung Bersinar Garbage Bank has been fostered by the YABN since 2017. While Sumber Berkah was assisted by the YABN since 2019.
“Alhamdulillah, for the fourth times we have received this award," said the Director of Anggrek Garbage Bank Tuti.
Currently, Anggrek has 155 customers with average monthly waste management of 300 to 1000 kilograms.
“We are very grateful for this achievement and hope that Maluyung Bersinar Garbage Bank to shine more, develops more progressively, and always make people aware of waste management," said the Director of Maluyung Bersinar Ika Fatma Riyanti.
Maluyung Bersinar, whose establishment was initiated by YABN in2017, from the beginning always received the best garbage bank award.
“This achievement is thanks to YABN which always provides support and assistance to the garbage bank," added Ika.
