As many as 438 personnel of Banjarmasin City Police whowill in charge of providing security at polling stations (TPS) in the 2020 simultaneous regional election in Banjarmasin undergo a rapid test.
"All of our personnel have to be rapid tested to find out the initial health condition of those who carry out security," said Banjarmasin City Police Chief Sr Comr (Kombespol) Rachmat Hendrawan SIK MM here, Monday.
He said the provision of rapid test kits was assisted by the Banjarmasin City Health Office with as many as 400 kits.
"With this test we can find out if the is any reactive personnel. If any member is unwell, he should take a rest, while waiting for a swab test," he said.
Sr Comr Rachmat said the logistics distribution has so far been running smoothly with the escort of Traffic Unit and handed over to the sub-districts or urban villages.
"The distribution must be completed by Tuesday (Dec 8, 2020) and has been received by each TPS (polling station) officers in the urban village (kelurahan)," said the middle rank police officer.

According to him, 438 personnel has been deployed directly to carry out security at each TPS in the city.
"We have distributed task to personnel, two police officers and two Community Protection Agency (Linmas) officers to secure six nearest TPS in turn. For prone areas they secure three TPS, if very vulnerable only one TPS," said the former Commander of South Kalimantan Police's Mobile Brigade (Brimob).
In addition to deploy 438 police personnel, the securing of the 2020 regional election in Banjarmasin is also assisted by 60 BKO (operational control aid) personnel from Brimob, 30 personnel from TNI, and 30 personnel from the Banjarmasin City Public Order Agency (Satpol PP Kota).
"For personnel who carry out security at the TPS are all eqquipped with protective equipment, such as masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer," said the police chief.
