South Kalimantan's export and import trade balance in September 2020 has posted a surplus of US$288,90 million compared to the previous month.
Head of South Kalimantan Central Statistics Agency (BPS) M Edy Mahmud in a press statement in Banjarbaru on Tuesday said the province's export and import value in August was recorded US$316.35 million.
The main group of goods that contributed the largest to South Kalimatan's export in September were mineral fuel US$234.29 million or 71.29 percent, followed by animal/vegetable fats and oil 12.11 percent.
The third was the wood and wood products group 6.43 percent, then jewelry and diamonds 3.85 percent, and rubber and rubber goods group 3.71 percent.
The largest export destination was India US$62.38 million, China US$57.28 million, Pakistan US$37.70 million, then Malaysia US$26.96 million, and Japan US$26.57 million.
While the import value of South Kalimantan in September 2020 was US$39.75 million increased by 66.15 percent from August import value of US$23.93 million.
The highest import value was the group of mineral fuel US$19.93 million, followed by the group of various machine/aircraft mechanics at US$11.87 million.
Then, marine vessel and floating structures group US$6.37 million, the group of salt, sulfur, lime US$0.46 million, and the group of plastics and plastic goods US$0.37 million.
The five countries of origin of the largest import were Singapore US$21.68 million, followed by Malaysia US$8.70 million, China US$5.15 million, German US$2.21 million, and the United States US$0.50 million.
