Head of the South Kalimantan Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA) Mahrus Aryadi said that Pelaihari Nature Park (TWA) or commonly known as Batakan Beach is not an asset belonging to the central government, but a collective asset.
"The TWA Pelaihari is a nature conservation area for both animals and plants managed by South Kalimantan BKSDA," said Mahrus Aryadi, during an audience with the government of Tanah Laut District at the Regent office, Thursday, October 1, 2020.
He explained that the Batakan Beach attraction is in the area of the TWA in Batakan Village, Panyipatan Sub-district. Several years ago conflict of interest occurred.
So far, he acknowledged, BKSDA has been unable to collect Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) from the Batakan Beach.

Meanwhile, Head of the Tanah Laut Toursim Agency Ismail Fahmi said that his party together with the Batakan Village head had searched the coordinate of the TWA Pelaihari boundary with areas not included.
“We've found the coordinate. It is outside TWA Pelaihari we build and complete the facilities. In fact, we manage it ourselves. This tourist Object is k the new Batakan Beach,” he said.
Regarding the problem of retribution, Pahmi hopes, both BKSDA's PNBP and Tanah Laut retribution can run.
“We look for a middle way, so both can go hand in hand. The old and the new Batakan Beach must work together,” he hoped.
The meeting was attended by the Tanah Administration Assistant for Economic Development and People Welfare Akhmad Khairin, the Panyipatan Sub-district Leadership Coordination Forum, Batakan Village Head Arsani and community leaders.
