PT Pamapersada Nusantara handed out jerry cans for sap water containers for dozens of palm sugar small businesses in Bihara Hilir Village, Awayan Sub-disttrict, Balangan, Wednesday (August 19,2020).

Palm sugar producers who belong to small business group UMKM Mitra Lembaga Pengembangan Bisnis Pama Banua Lima (PT Pama and PT Pama Distrik Adaro partners) received sap water containers with a capacity of 25 liter.

PT Pamapersada Nusantara CSR Manager Ono Karno said 16 palm sugar small businesses received the assistance from the company's CSR program.

"We have readied 96 palm sugar containers for producers or small businesses in Bihara Hilir Village," said Ono.

This year PT Pama prepared 200 jerry cans for SMEs around the company's operational area.

The jerry cans are expected to help palm sugar SMEs who do have sap water container that meets SNI standard for food.

Ono said it is a commitment of LPB Pama Banua Lima and PT Pamapersada Nusantara in guiding and assisting palm sugar small business and it is in line with the company's plan to help them getting a certificate from the Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM). Thus the palm sugar product has a selling value and to penetrate markets outside Kalimantan.
