Coal business company PT Pamapersada Nusantara Distrik ADRO (Pama ADRO) planted green trees to commemorate World Environment Day. 

The company management together with trade union representatives, Emergency Response Team (ERT), and employees took part in planting tens of green trees specias of mahoni or mohagony, sengon, and angsana.

A total of 50 trees were planted at the Pama mess area on vacant land adjacent to the pool storage facility.

While at the maintenance area and workshop or heavy equipment service as many as 30 shade trees were planted.

"This tree planting is a proof of seriousness and concern of the company for social responsibility in the environment field," said Project Manager and Operational Responsibility (PJO) of Pama ADRO Bayu Setyawan. 

The commemoration took the theme “Let's Play an Active Role in Protecting the Earth, by Implementing Environmentally Friendly Lifestyle to Maintain Biodiversity”.

The action was also carried out considering coal mining business activities were often labeled damaging to the environment.

Bayu also reminded employees to always be disciplined in obeying health protocol and implementing clean and healthy living behaviors to break the spread of COVID-19.
