Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Residents of the city of Banjarmasin now runs at least 71 banks trash to reduce the amount of waste that is thrown away to landfill (TPA).
Banjarmasin City Government through the Regional Environmental Agency (BLHD) responded positively to the excitement of citizens to manage waste by providing support to the community, said BLHD Head Drs Hamdi to reporters on Wednesday.
To encourage the development of waste banks, BLHD will give reward to the best managers. Assessment will be conducted at any location that has the largest sales turnover, so write your economic value to society. Then considered the number of clients involved in the waste bank
Hamdi acknowledges the existence of proven waste banks contributed greatly reduce the volume of waste, because there are a ton of trash per bank per day garbage collected and then used as an economic good.
BLHD itself seriously undertake waste management in the region. BLHD will provide assistance with seven bins thrasher to be processed into compost for the community.
BLHD also provide training to the community to process waste recycling system and learn to Malang. Malang was successful in processing waste plastic and other food wrappers into export goods to Japan.
