After a week of continuous decline, the confirmed positive cases in the Central Hulu Sungai (HST) dated July 16, 2020, surged a double with an additional of 49 cases to bring the total to 92.

Data from the local Agency of Communication and Informatic (Diskominfo) obtained from the Health Office at 3.00 pm said 92 people were confirmed positive, two people died, and 32 were declared recovered. While 58 are still under treatment.

The positive cases distribution were in the villages of Samhurang, Pemangkih, Sungai Buluh, Muara Rintis, Rangas, Kapar, Cukan Lipai, Mangunang, Banua Binjai, Barabai Timur, Barabai Barat, Gambah, Aluan Besar, Banua Batung, Mahang Sungai Hanyar, Satiap, Kambat Selatan and Pandawan each with one case.

In Mundar, Mandingin, and Kambat Utara found two cases each. In Bukat and Barabai Utara each three, while in Pengambau Hulu, Barabai Darat, and Jatuh respectively four.

Seven in Benawa Tengah and the highest nine cases in Banua Jingah Village.

The death tally added by two were the residents of Sungai Buluh Village.

The residents were asked to remain vigilant and always apply health protocol by keeping a distance, frequently washing hands, and wearing masks when going out.
