"PT Eternal is a sub-contractor of PT Conch cement factory. Due to not have a use permit area, so we've asked the management company to keep halt production," said Tabalong acting Regional Secretary Marzuki Hakim in Tanjung, Tuesday.
Previously, Tabalong Government held a coordination meeting to discuss issues related to investment activities of Conch Cement, South Kalimantan, and PT Eternal Richway involving a number of relevant agencies such as Mines Agency, Forest Agency, including the mining technical head of PT Eternal.
Cessation of mining of PT Eternal started February 2014 following the installation of a police line by Tabalong Police because the company is alleged encroachment.
Data in the Forest Agency shows, the Chinese company already apply for use permit to the purposes of exploration activities in the Kaong village with an area of ​​431.7 hectares.
In the recommendation of the Governor number 522/001370/Eko dated 7 November 2012, South Kalimantan provincial government support and provide recommendations to the use permit application for an area of ​​171.35 hectares of forest area.
