Martapura, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Banjar Resort Police thanks to an anti-narcotics operation managed to secure 17 cases of trafficking and abuse of narcotic from 13 to 22 May 2014.

Banjar Resort Police Chief AKBP Daru Cahyono here on Sunday said the operation went smoothly. 17 cases handled consisted of 10 cases of methamphetamine (known as shabu-shabu), six cases of hard drugs, and one case of liquor circulation .

16 suspects secured, 15 suspects in drug cases and all have been arrested, as well as a liquor dealer suspects charged misdemeanor.

Juwarto said the evidence was seized 9.34 grams of methamphetamine, 253 dextromethorphan pills, 80 Carminophen pills. Then, 1000 Somadril Double L pills, 200 Roche 12 pills and 16 bottles of liquor consisting of 11 bottles of Malaga, 1 bottle Mansion and 4 bottles Vodkamix.

"All cases are handled during the operation was still in progress investigation by Banjar Police Narcotics Investigation Unit," said Juwarto.

Anti-narcotics operation is a line of police operations carried out simultaneously in all parts of Indonesia in order to combat and prevent trafficking and drug abuse.
