The Kotabaru government's spokesperson for the acceleration handling of COVID-19 H Said Akhmad announced three more patients recovered to bring the number to five.

He said, one of the recovered patients was medical personnel of the District Hospital of Pangeran Jaya Sumitra. "While the two others are a resident of Tanjung Selayar, from Gowa cluster, and foreign national who lives in Pulau Laut Sigam," he said, Monday (June 15, 2020). 

The three patients, who previously underwent quarantine and medical treatment, were declared cured based on continued swab tests with negative results.

They were declared recovered, but continued an independent quarantine at home for the next week.

Said Akhmad, who is the regional secretary of Kotabaru, said with the addition of three patients recovered the total number of patients recovered in Kotabaru now five.

Thus, he continued, from the total of 43 confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in Kotabaru, five had recovered, and 38 in treatment.

Said reminded the residents of Kotabaru to remain consistent in adhering to health protocols to break the chain of COVID-19 from spreading.

Among others by maintaining a healthy environment, getting used to washing hands with soap and running water, always wearing a mask when leaving the house, and keeping a distance and avoid a crowd.
