The North Hulu Sungai (HSU) National Narcotics Agency (BNNK) prioritized COVID-19 treatment if there are users or drug addicts exposed to the deadly virus.

"Of course we prioritize treatment for COVID-19 and afterward we will provide rehabilitation for the addicts who previously exposed to Coronavirus. Fortunately, HSU BNNK has its own rehabilitation clinic," said acting head of HSU BNNK Syamsudin in Amuntai, Monday.

Syamsudin said the BNNK allowed any addict who is exposed to COVID 19 to undergo treatment at the referral hospital. after recovering, the BNNK then will provide rehabilitation.

He explained that the agency took part in socializing the prevention of coronavirus disease (COVID 19) outbreak to the people. "We borrow the Balangan BNNK car because we do not have our own operational car yet," he said.

In addition to disseminating the prevention of the spread of COVID-19, the task force team of the agency also promoted appeal to residents to bring their relatives of drug addicts to be rehabilitated at the HSU BNNK's clinic in Amuntai.

"No need to be afraid or ashamed of being rehabilitated, BNNK officers will keep a secret of the identity of addicts and it is free of charge," Syamsudin said.
 
During 2019, the HSU BNNK has rehabilitated 20 people and in 2020 till April 10 people have been given rehabilitation.
