Kotabaru , South Kalimantan ( Antaranews ) - The Kotabaru Police captured three truckloads of processed ironwood undocumented and allegedly from illegal logging in the village of Sungai Karuh, Kelumpang Barat.

Kotabaru police chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner Rizal Irawan here on Thursday said that three truckloads of ironwood arrested by officers at around 3:30 am.

"These arrests follow reports from the public," he said.

Three fully loaded truck is plated black with police numbers DA 9989 FW, yellow plate DA 1789 FK and yellow plate DA 1459 DC. In the case of the arrest, police also requested information from three driver and owner of the timber, with initials BD, JH, and PR.

Chief of Criminal Investigation Unit of AKP Fakhrurozi estimate the three trucks containing about 16 cubic meters of processed ironwood with some type of measure. "Wood was scheduled to be transported to Banjarmasin allegedly from illegal logging, not the type of wood waste," he said.

Police were continuing to develop the case by looking for the parties involved , especially the timber barons who used to receive the results of illegal logging.
