Head of Banjarmasin Health Office Machli Riyadi said, from January 15 to March 13, 2020, as many as 32 people were under monitoring related to COVID-19. 


"Of the 32 people, we have declared 22 people healthy. Now only 10 people are being monitored," he said at the residence of Banjarmasin Mayor, here on Sunday (March 15, 2020).

Until now, he confirmed, there had been no one diagnosed positive with coronavirus.

However, monitoring the potential spread of the virus continues to be increased, not only per day but per six hours or even per three hours.

"The average persons who were monitored came from traveling abroad, such as (Saudi) from umrah or other countries. Some actively came themselves to check their health to the community health facility," he said.

At least, Machli Riyadi said, observation for those coming from traveling abroad took place for 14 days.

As a person who was appointed by the mayor to chair the handling of coronavirus, Machli Riyadi said, he would intensify the dissemination of vigilance of this disease.

"The team first evaluated the mayor's circular, namely to improve education, to foster public awareness to selves-quarantine, especially those who come from abroad," he said.

He hoped, people would continue to practice a healthy life movement, in order they will be strong in dealing with the virus.
