Arshad came to meet the Regent of HSS H.Achmad Fikry together with the entourage of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia and the South Kalimantan Health Agency.

The review, he explained, is implemented to find out the extent of the implementation of the programs have been carried out, and what to improve in the prevention and tackling of HIV/AIDS.

His arrival is in order to make a good relation (silaturrahmi), as well as to review the prevention and overcoming of HIV/AIDS and Tubercle Bacillus (TB) or lung disease due to Mycobacterium Tuberculosis bacteria in the region.

Regent H.Achmad Fikry said, he welcomed HSS District to be one of the regions to conduct a review of HIV/AIDS and TB. He said his government had always tried to prevent and overcoming HIV/AIDS, but all cannot be separated from the behavior of the sufferers themselves.

“In this district some people are affected by HIV/AIDS, but some are still reluctant to acknowledge and seek treatment,” he said in a meeting also attended by Head of the HSS Health Agency Siti Zainab and Director of Brigjend H.Hasan Basry District Hospital Hj.Rasyidah.

All the facilities to support the handling of HIV/AIDS and TB are the concern of his side, while the visit of the Ministry of Health and WHO will provide input and suggestion for making policies in future improvement.
