Regent of Tabalong Anang Syakhfiani urged chiefs of villages, who have not built village-owned-enterprises (BUMDes), to sooner build it.
 

"I ask chiefs of villages to sooner build BUMDes, because it is our effort to realize food stabilization," Regent Anang Syakhfiani remarked. when he inaugurated 57 villages chiefs, who were elected in the 2019 simultaneous election. in Pendopo Bersinar Pembataan, Tanjung, Wednesday (Oct 23). 

He asserted that BUMDes establishment is a priority to guarantee the smooth of food distribution at the village level.

The local government has actually launched the program since 2010 by issuing Regent decree on the guidelines of formation and management of BUMDes, but so far it has not been fully fulfilled.

According to the regent, the BUMDes at its first stage is not profit oriented, but to guarantee the availability of basic necessities.

Previously, the Community Empowerment and Village Governance Agency's data showed seven BUMDes have turn over of up to hundreds of millions. Some of the BUMDes are in Halangan Village, Kambitin Village (BUMDes Karya Bersama), and in Bumi Makmur Village (BUMDes Suka Makmur).

But some other BUMDes were in-active or mostly closed for the reason of lack of human resource to manage the enterprise.

One village assistant, Laila Ramdana, acknowleged the situation. She said she has already reminded the village to activate the BUMDes and to account the use of initial capital.

In average, the initial capital toestablish a BUMDes is Rp50 millions or more with types of business selling basic needs, and payment points.
