The Mayor of Banjarmasin H. Ibnu Sina did not only attended the Seventh Asia-Pacific Urban Forum (APUF-7) held in Penang, Malaysia, October 15-17, 2019, but he appeared as a speaker.
The attendance of the Mayor of the City of a Thousand Rivers at the largest and most diverse multi-stakeholder urban forum in the Asia-Pacific have colored the activity which aimed to make cities in the region to be comfortable for their inhabitants, including people with disabilities.
Ibnu sina brought the topic Assistive Technology for Inclusive Citizenship: Enabling SDGs Through Innovation and Inclusive Urban Development. More than 3,000 actors are expected to participate in the APUF-7.

The mayor, who brought with him the officials of Regional Planning, Research and Development Agency (Barenlitbangda), Education (Disdik), Social (Dinsos), Tourism (Dispar), and Governance (Tapem), came for the purpose of the city interest in the future to be more focus in acceleration and to achieve a sustainable future.

Other speakers were Risnawati Utami, the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities/CRPD) member period 2019-2022 and Program Adviser of OHANA Indonesia, Mr. Pong Cruz, the Advisor of Asia Pacific, World Enabled, Hannes Lagrelius of World Blind Union, and The Disability Inclusive and Accessible Urban Development Network.

In between these activities the mayor along with the group took the time to visit the herbal medicine industry, Chi Kit Teck Aun. He was accompanied by Pak Dristi, who is a close friend with the leadership element of the famous Malaysian drug company.
