The Chairwoman of Banjarmasin Family Planning Movement (PKK) Hj Siti Wasilah stated that she encouraged the city to have story telling village.

"The story telling movement for family education that we have reverberate should be made in reality by building 'Kampung Dongeng' (story telling village)," she remarked here on Sunday (Oct 6, 2019).

 As the very old city, with the age of 493, she insisted, Banjarmasin should be a model in preserving the old days culture of story telling.

"Eventhough our region has experienced progress and modernity, story telling must not be forgotten by our children," she pointed out.

Siti Wasilah reminded that Banjarmasin is a hostoric city. It has many interesting and educational stories that the present generation need to know, thus they continue to be eternal from time to time.

"We also have stories from the history of kingdoms of the archipelago, beside other stories which contain education that parents must telling them to their children," she added.

The wife of Banjarmasin Mayor Ibnu Sina said she personally very concerned to realize the popularization of story telling in the community, including to realize the Kampung Dongeng. 

As she has done in preveserving the local culinary, namely Astakona Rice, that the recipe and history made into a book.
