Thousands of cyclists or what so called goweser from many clubs took part in the Banjarmasin Night Ride 2019 led by Mayor H Ibnu Sina and his ranks.
The saturday night event (Sept 28, 2019) at about 7.30 p.m. was form of the city residents participation to commemorate the 493th anniversary of Banjarmasin.
They took start from the front of Best Western (BW) Kindai Hotel to go along 12 km ride through 20 main roads in the City of a Thousands Rivers.
But before the night cycling sport event, the hotel in cooperation with the Indonesian Professional Chef Association (PCPI) and some companies held a Kampoeng Banjar Festival.

It was an open field activities at the housing complex of Dhama Praja, East Banjarmasin Sub-district. They held not only culinary stands, and automotive stands, but the combined chefs presented cooking demonstration.
Interestingly, the culinary chosen was the typical of Banjar, wadai lempeng, which almost resembles a pizza. But it was not like it usually served in small shape. The chefs made it big and the called it LeGa (from Banjar language lempeng ganal) or big lempeng.

Ibnu Sina recognized, the anniversary this year is different from those of previous years. He said he wanted to increase familiarity, especially with hospitality in the city. "I feel happy to have friends, especially from hotels, when all racing to enliven the anniversary, and I want to make it different this year," he remarked.
He expected all the activities in the commemoration to give an impact on stretching of the economy and tourism of the city.
