The Government of Kotabaru invite its people to have their own bank, but it is not the money to manage. It’s the garbage!
Yes, it is the way Vice Regent Rudy Suryana ask his people to have a clean life behavior. He said, garbage so far does not benefit people. It even become an enemy.
“Now if every resident (family) has his own bank of garbage it will make money,†he said.
By this program, residents has to separate waste: organic (degradable like vegetable) and inorganic (undegradable like plastic). Organic waste can be processed into compost and an inorganic will be processed into other raw materials.
Then people do not have to litter or neglect waste anymore. Everyone must be excited to collect waste, because it is now become a benefit and give value added to the owner of the bank and his customers.
He expect the Local Agency of Environment to develop this program as soon as possible.
So far, Deputi Minister of Environment Masnellyarti Hilman had inaugurated the use of banks of waste in 30 location in Banjarmasin on November 13th 2012.
