Moving the people's economy through the Green Revolution has now become one of the main goals of development in South Kalimantan which continues to be raised by Governor Sahbirin Noor with other related agencies.
Governor Sahbirin Noor's breakthrough with the Green Revolution and the economic sustainability of South Kalimantan was initially responded to pessimistically by various groups, remembering the natural conditions of South Kalimantan which were largely destroyed by mining and deforestation.
However, the massive movement carried out by Sahbirin Noor and the Forestry Agency finally received a positive response and full support from the central government, local government, the community, and all other relevant parties.
Through the movement of Berjuang Gelorakan Rakyat Untuk Sejahtera (Bergerak) or Fighting to Encourage People for Prosperity, Sahbirin continues to strive to arouse the enthusiasm of all parties, to strive to plant, plant and plant for posterity.
To strengthen the environmental improvement program, the Provincial Government together with the DPRD stipulates Regional Regulations (Perda) Number 7/2018 concerning the Green Revolution which continues to be socialized.
In fact, following up on the Perda, the government issued a Governor Regulation (Pergub), which included provisions requiring all elements to plant trees.
All of the elements in question include all state apparatus (ASN) in South Kalimantan, rank-and-file employees, and married couples. The provisions for planting trees for married couples are obliged to plant 5 trees which are coordinated with KUA (the Office of Religious Affairs) in their respective regions.
As proof that the couple had planted, they were obliged to make an official report stating that they had planted trees.
The Perda and Pergub are considered very implementative to overcome millions of critical lands in South Kalimantan.
The spirit of planting trees, for the children and grandchildren, was also attended by all district and city governments in South Kalimantan, to carry out the greening movement and improve the environment.
Even now, the community, environmental community, schools, students, and others are carrying out tree planting movements.
The school also continues to compete to get the Adiwiyata title, by encouraging planting trees in the school environment.

"I want to inherit a good environment for our children and grandchildren which can be enjoyed for decades," South Kalimantan Governor Sahbirin Noor said.
