We have secured the perpetrator along with the evidence at the North Daha Police Station for further legal proceedings,Kandangan, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Sector Police of North Daha, South Hulu Sungai (HSS), caught an electrofisher ZU (31), because of fishing illegally.
HSS Police Chief Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Rahmat Budi Handoko through the Chief of PR First Insp (Iptu) H Gandhi Ranu S in Kandangan, Tuesday (8/28), confirmed that the police caught the fish shocker. The perpetrator was secured in the Pekapuran Kecil River, Pekapuran Village, North Daha.
"We have secured the perpetrator along with the evidence at the North Daha Police Station for further legal proceedings," he said when giving information via telephone.
He explained the arrest of the perpetrator occurred when the Daha Utara police chief along with members carried out a patrol and then saw someone doing fishing activities using stun.
The police chief along with the members immediately secured the perpetrator of the electrofishing together with a set of shocked stun and fish equipment, Tuesday (8/28) at 2:00 p.m.
As for evidence, there is one small boat complete with its engine, sepat fish, papuyu fish approximately 10 kilograms, one black basin. Also a set of stun devices, including one generator, one box containing four capacitors, one stick with a fish draw with a cable connected to the generator and capacitor.
"The perpetrators will be charged under Article 84 paragraph 1 of the Act Number 31/2004, concerning fisheries and the Republic of Indonesia Law
Number 45/2009, regarding the amendment to the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 31 of 2004 with a six-year prison sentence," he said.
