Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - South Kalimantan Transportation Agency is ready to close mining roads related to violations of using the state road ban.
"If there is still a violation, then we are ready to give strict sanctions with the road closure," said Head of South Kalimantan Transportation Agency Rusdiansyah in Banjarmasin on Saturday.
He said one of the mining companies has been given a strong reprimand by the agency, PT SG who allegedly violating Regional Regulation (Perda) No.3/2008 related to the use of state roads for mining activities in the Lontar Village, Kotabaru District.
"We conducted a sudden inspection on Wednesday (10/1) and then in the mining road area (hauling) in Lontar Village, Kotabaru," said Rusdiansyah.
The agency found that there are no signs around the road location and the underpass has not been built so that mining activities do not pass through the state road.
"Whereas underpass is a company obligation according to the regional rules, so there is no more tolerance for that," he said.
As it is known, in the regional regulation mentioned any mining and plantation product transportation is prohibited through public road and must be transported by using special road which has been determined by the Governor.
For violating, the offender is threatened with a maximum imprisonment of six months or a maximum fine of Rp50,000,000.
