Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Environment and Forestry (Kemen-LHK) awarded the climate village program (ProKlim) to two villages and an urban village in Tabalong District.
They were Nalui Village in Jaro Sub-district, Sulingan Urban Village in Murung Pudak, and Tanta Village in Tanta.
"Previously we target five villages to be included in the assessment of the ProKlim," said Head of Tabalong Environment Agency Rowi Rawatianice.
The ProKlim award presentation was held virtually at the closing of the 2021 Climate Festival at the Manggala Wanabakti building of Kemen-LHK in Jakarta, Tuesday (October 19, 2021).
Here it was attended at Tanjung Puri Hall by Deputy Regent Mawardi, Assistant for Development and Economic Yuhani, Rowi Rawatianice, heads of sub-districts, and related agencies.
The award received was in the form of the ProKlim trophy for the main category for Nalui Village, and the main category ProKlim certificate for Sulingan Urban Village and Tanta Village.
Director-General of Climate Change Control of the Ministry Laksmi Dewanthi said there were 600 locations proposed for ProKlim and 313 locations had been verified.
The 2021 Climate Festival, said Dewanti, one of which is to introduce the policy and innovation in efforts to reduce greenhouse emissions.
