Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 14/8 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Another Rp14 billion fund is required for the exemption of the entire land to build embankment (locally popular as siring) of Martapura River along Muara Kelayan, Banjarmasin.
"The plan for the lack of budget allocation of Rp14 billion will be proposed in the discussion of the draft of a revised local budget (APBD-P) this year," said the Head of Banjarmasin Housing and Settlement Agency A Fanani Sayifuddin at the City Hall on Monday.
According to him, the budget allocation of Rp14 billion in the pure budget (APBD) this year still can not cover the compensation of the evicted land and buildings amounted to 175 along the banks of the river.
"The land acquisition process began in 2015. It is targeted that this year can be completed and next year we can start the siring construction at the location," said Fanani.
According to him, the obstacles in the field no longer exists. All have received the amount set by the city government according to the calculation independent team for land and building pricing.
"Obviously if it is determined according to the mechanism, then for those who do not receive is entitled to sue it in court, and the process has been passed, until there is no more questioning," he said.
He hoped, the process of land acquisition in Muara Kelayan for the continuation of the construction of Martapura River embankment can be supported by the DPRD in the budget discussion of APBD-P later.
As is known, said Fanani, the city government is assisted by the provincial and central government to implement the revitalization program of the banks of the Martapura River by constructing a five-kilometer embankment.
In addition to clear of river banks from the residents building who have been decades of covering it, siring is also a tourist attraction which impact will improve the regional economy.
