Banjarmasin, S Kalimatan (ANTARA) - South Kalimantan Governor Sahbirin Noor received two “Top Digital Awards 2023” from the Communication and Informatics Ministry (Kemenkominfo), the Top Leader on Digital Implementation and Four Star Top Digital Implementation.
“Kemenkominfo has awarded (us) with two awards, because of the success of South Kalimantan in implementing digital transformation in information, communication, and technology,” Governor Sahbirin Noor noted in a written statement released by Leadership Administration Bureau of the Provincial Government in Banjarmasin, Monday.
The awards, he said, were given through research, judging interview, involving thousands of institutions, from ministry to local government, with value classification of one to five stars.
“We are very happy to receive the award from the Kemenkominfo. I hope this award will be a motivation for all level of regional officials in South Kalimantan in developing information technology,” he said.
He pointed out that developing the use of IT is very important because it make it easier for the government to serve the public, fastly, efficiently, and transparently.
The provincial government, he said, together with the district and city government will strengthen communication and cooperation with the central government so that the community will receive wider benefits.

Top Digital Awards is the highest annual award in Indonesia, given to companies and government agencies, which are considered successful in implementing and utilizing digital technology, to improve performance, services, innovation and business competitiveness, as well as services to the public or customers.
The award is also given to IT vendor and Telco who support the development use of digital techology in Indonesia.
Top Digital Awards 2023 ceremony was attended by a number of officials of ministries and government agencies, regional heads, IT managers or chief technology officer (CTO), Chief Information Officer (CIO), from various companies, organizations, and institutions to receive the award.
Communication and Informatics Minister Budi Arie Setiadi said that this event was in line with the government's efforts to encourage the acceleration of digital transformation in the country, both among business actors, institutions or government offices in preparation to enter the era of the fourth industrial revolution (industry 4.0).
He welcomed the increasing awareness of strengthening the siber security ecosystem among business actors, as well as government agencies for the continuity and success of digital transformation.
