Kandangan, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The South Hulu Sungai Internal Affairs Division Police (Propam) legal processes an intel policeman who accidentally shot his fellow cop.
"It'ss true there was our member who played with loaded pistol and exploded hit other member," said South Hulu Sungai (HSS) Police Chief AKBP Sukendar Eka Restiyan Putra through the Head of Public Relations AKP Agus Winartono in Kandangan on Thursday.
He said the incident was on Tuesday (19/7) afternoon around 17:00 pm in Criminal Unit of Simpur Sector Police.
It was began when three policemen were in the room of Simpur Criminal Police. They were Brigadier I Gede Yudha Dede, Bripda Chandra Marlin and Bripda Fajar Riyanto Rahman.
Then Brigadier I Gede Yudha Dede drew out a pistol from a holster. Bripda Chandra Marlin took the pistol.
Before playing the pistol, Bripda Chandra Marlin discharged the bullets, but allegedly one bullet spared in the gun.
When the gun was played by Bripda Chandra Marlin it accidentally exploded and hit Bripda Fajar Riyanto Rahman right in the left abdomen through to the back or waist.
"The victim Bripda Fajar has been taken to H Hasan Basry Kandangan hospital to get medical treatment," he said.
Head of Public Relations said Bripda Chandra Marlin is currently secured in Propam for examination and questioning over the incident.
"In accordance with the rules of the law of Police, Bripda Chandra Marlin still get sanction of disciplinary punishment," he said.
