Banjarmasin, S Kalimatan (ANTARA) - The Provincial Government of South Kalimantan confirmed that it has promoted the 2023 Loksado Festival to foreign countries.
Head of South Kalimantan Tourism Office M Syarifuddin here on Wednesday said that the yearly festival, which is held in the Loksado National Tourism Strategic Area in South Hulu Sungai (HSS) District is very potential to attract foreign tourists.
"Especially tourists in the allied Southeast Asian region," he said.
Not only the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy that is promoting the festival in the National Meratus Geopark, the provincial government is also doing so through social media.
Loksado Festival has also included in the the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy's Karisma Event Nusantara (KEK).
"So apart from us promoting it nationally and internationally, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy also doing the same," he said.

Syarifuddin said Loksado attraction already has a name not only in the national but also in the world, thus many tourists visit it.
"In Asian countries it is quite wellkknown, in fact European tourists also often visit Loksado," he said.
With the Loksado Festival being held, Syarifuddin optimistis, foreign tourists, especialy from Southeast Asian countries interested to watch it.
"Loksado has it own charm, there it has the beauty of nature, Dayak culture, bamboo rafting to hot spring tour," he expounded.
Here at the 2023 Loksado Festival many things will be shown, so it is really worth watching world tour.
In the series of Loksado Festival, various kind of performance from art, culture, culinary specialties will be displayed by local community.
Among them are bamboo rafting, river tubing, mahumbal festival (cooking rice in bambbo reeds), as well as MSMEs bazaars and creative economy.
Loksado attraction is eqipped with facilities and infrastructure such as lodging and good roads gives food picture of the life of the mountain Dayak tribe.
