Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Three of South Kalimantan Regional Police Anti-Corruption (Tipikor) personnel went to the Provincial Council Assembly (DPRD) on Monday.


South Kalimantan DPRD Speaker Hj Noormiliyani Abrani Sulaiman not willing to give a press statement on the arrival of the Anti-Corruption personnel, except to say they were coming just for silaturrahmi (friendship).

Similarly, Deputy Chairman of DPRD H Hamsyuri said he did not know the arrival of Tipikor personnel for the reason of accompanying chairman of the council after receiving the visit of the local General Election Commission (KPU).

Meanwhile, when intercepted by reporters after a meeting with South Kalimantan DPRD speaker, personnel of the anti-corruption said they only pay a visit to the "Banjar House" (a nickname for DPRD building).

Though the anti-corruption team have been in the Banjar House since early in the morning from 09:00 am and had entered the Golkar Party faction room, while awaiting the arrival of the council speaker.

Anyway, the arrival of Tipikor personnel raised question, especially among Journalist Parliament Community (JPC) South Kalimantan, because it seemed an impromptu and not any details mentioned officially.

"Is there any possible connection with official travel of legislators who are now in the handling by the Kejati (Persecutor's Office)," said President of the JPC, Syamsuddin Hasan.

But Epik, a member of DPRD Press Room which is also cover in the Prosecutor's Office and regional police said it was not possible.

"Because, ethically, when a case has been handled by prosecutor or the state attorney, the police will not come to follow up," he said.
