Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The management of PT Adaro Indonesia predicts coal production target of the company in South Kalimantan is hard to achieve, because of the sluggish condition of international market.


Media and Government Relations Manager of PT Adaro Dahai Paringin Balangan, Hikmatullah Amin, said that in iftar with Extended Family of Antaranews South Kalimantan in Banjarmasin, Saturday afternoon.

"Indeed in the beginning our company is targeting production 80 million tons of coal per year. But it seems difficult to achieve the target," he said.

Difficult to achieve, because since this year the coal market in the international downturn, said Hikmatullah who was accompanied by some of the personnel management of the company,

"Especially if India and China who exploit or produce their own coal, our coal export we may not be able to rise, may even decline," he said.

He claimed, as the market slowdown in the international coal, export of black gold of the company has decreased by about 16 percent.

He did not specify the reduction in coal exports, both of volume and value, but expect the world market to improve again.

"But the companies helped by domestic needs for coal, which is about 35 percent of our products," said Amin.

On the occasion of iftar with the management of first generation of coal mining in the province, Antaranews Bureau Chief Abdul Hakim Muhidin introduced Antaranews agency that since 2007 becomes incorporated public company (Perum).
