Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia has recorded 1,726 COVID-19 fresh cases bringing the total to 6,080,451, as reported by the task force.

However, Jakarta also contributed the largest number of recovery at 691, followed by Banten 248, West Java 99, East Java 72, and Bali 22. Thus the total new COVID-19 recoveries in Indonesia increased by 1,175 people, bringing the total to 5,909,218.
Meanwhile, three people succumbed to COVID-19 bringing the death toll to 156,717 people as of June 26, 2022.
The deaths were recorded each in Central Java, Yogyakarta, and South Sumatera.
The number of active cases in the country surged by 548 cases which leads to a current total of 14,516 people.

The Task Force also reported that 2,047 people were suspected to contract COVID-19, and 50,885 specimens were examined per today.
The Task Force urged the people to continue to implement the health protocols such as wearing a face mask, washing hands with soap under flowing water, maintaining distance, and avoiding crowds.
In addition, the Task Force informed that the number of COVID-19 booster dose recipients in Indonesia rose by 111,559 people today. This means the total number of people who had received booster shots reached 50,027,651 people.
Meanwhile, the number of people who had received the first and complete doses increased by 16,044 and 39,601 people respectively.
