Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Communities in Pulau Sembilan and surrounding areas in Kotabaru district began to fret because the stocks of basic needs thinning in recent days.

Palawagau claimed off to Kotabaru boarded a fishing boat for a business, as well as buy groceries for the needs of communities in Pulau Sembilan.

He admitted that he was forced to look for chartered ship to carry groceries from Kotabaru to Pulau Sembilan, as the pioneer ship KM Delta Sembada unclear when departing.

Since the pioneer ship has not been operating nearly a month, community activities in the islands in sub-district of Pulau Sembilan is almost paralyzed.

Most people who have affairs or purposes to Kotabaru forced aboard a fishing boat filled with fish and ice.

"The plan we will go to Pulau Sembilan with charter boats Rp6 million-7 million each way. Price is forced to be approved as basic food items started to empty," he said.

Because it was feared, if basic food items not immediately delivered, people in the island will starve.
