Rantau, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Head of South Kalimantan Regional State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Brig. Gen. dr. Heri Armanto urges the need for measures to carry out the transition from the pandemic to the endemic phase.
He was speaking when South Kalimantan Regional BIN hosted a COVID-19 vaccination program for students at the state Islamic high school MAN 2 in Binuang Sub-district, Tapin, Thursday.
He said BIN is currently carrying out vaccination in all 13 districts and cities in South Kalimantan, including Tapin.
"This December, BIN again carries out vaccination in 13 districts and cities with a total target of 37,600, consisting of 24,000 for the first vaccine dose and 13,600 for the second vaccine dose," he expounded.

In order for the vaccination mission to be accomplished on time, the government at the level of community unit (RW), neighborhood unit (RT), heads of villages and urban villages to register residents who have not been vaccinated.
After that, he said, targets can be mapped and it will make vaccination easier. "The role of all stakeholders is very important to be able to collect data on residents who have not been vaccinated," he said.
If the target is achieved by the end of this year, Heri said, it can have a positive impact on the socio-economic of people in 2022.
"(Then) we can change the status of this pandemic to be endemic," he said.
